The sled accident happened on Indian Stream Road at 9:30pm on Monday evening. A Mass man was killed when his sled went off the road and into some trees. This week's News & Sentinel also reporting other accidents in Pittsburg and Colebrook.

I am over in Freeport, Maine tonight (Friday, 1/15) and will be in Pittsburg sometime this weekend. I'll try to look you up, even if I have to hike in from Young's Store like I did this time last year! Have a pot of coffee on the stove . . . I may need it!!

The snow storm forced me to reroute some of my travels . . . I will pass through Pittsburg VERY early tomorrow (Tuesday) enroute from Lac Megantic to Manchester. But I will throw a salute as I pass by Young's Store (and maybe coffee at Happy Corner's Cafe, if they are open). Sally Ann and I will be back in late June for a few days on our way to the Maine camp at Sabbathday Lake where we plan to spend the summer until late August/early September. So I will be up for lots of fishing this summer! I'm retiring as of March 3 so I will have lots of time on my hands from here on out.

Sorry I missed you on this trip. I breezed through early in the AM and did not stop at Happy Corner because it was snowing and I heard it was suppose to snow all the way down to Manchester (which it did). Sally Ann and I should be up in early summer for most of the summer over at the Maine camp ( I retire at the beginning of March).
