Today was my first day and I opted out of the 'sure-to-be-a-disaster' waitressing job -

I WASH DISHES instead and do prep work besides....

So.... if I'm still walking upright after Friday and Saturday night.....

Make sure if you stop in you tip the dish washer....HA!

Dang . . . I drove by about 10pm and there was no one in the parking lot so I assumed it was closed. Oh well, next time. Woodlady and I will be back in June.

Everyone said it was over as of last week.....Then What Happened Tonight ? Standing room only again...with lines waiting for tables....

The trails up north around East Inlet are still awesome according to sledheads I talked to....

Almost all of the lodges are booked up so let the snow come and keep the trails open until the traditional April 15th....

Another incredibly busy weekend and the Pittsburg trails north are fantastic! -

Lots of sleds in the Diamond Pond and Errol area this am so its just the heavily traveled areas in town that are bony....

When I walked in at 2:00pm...everyone had a wager going that 'there warn't no one left in Pittsburg...and we were going to be Dead Slow....'

Well, that warn't the case.... the place filled up around 8:00 - just about the time I was supposed to go home.... and it stayed busy 'til closing time, which stretched to the 11:00 mark.

The riding up around East Inlet is still nice and everyone seemed to be having a good time.

Somewhere around 6:00pm 'a local' made the comment that a truck just rolled out of the parking lot, crossed Route 3 and landed just short of the bigger trees on the opposite side of the road.....

....Well, of course, a comment like that sparked a bit of interest and everyone inside ran to the windows to see if it was their truck or not.

A couple at the counter recognized their rig (heavy laden with moose sheds) and ran out, very upset, because Poochie was still inside.

....and the rest of the story is history.... Poochie was fine, the truck was undamaged, the fire department was eating at the pub so they directed traffic while a customer hooked up his winch and pulled them out and all was fine in fairyland.

Now if that was My Vehicle.... It would've wiped out something in the parking lot (probably a Mercedes).... hit a car / truck as it crossed Rt. 3.... hit the big trees on the opposite side.... burst into flames....leaked gas into the Connecticut River.... and Poochie would've died!
